Student Supplies

Marching Band

General list of supplies (Things included in fair share fee highlighted)

● Marching Uniform (Provided by DHS band)

● Marching Shoes- DSI MTX Marching Shoes, approx. $45 (Wind, Brass and Percussion Only, order created by Band Boosters)

● Dance Shoes- (Color Guard Only, specific color and/or brand to be prescribed by Guard Director)

● Marching Gloves (Winds Only, purchased through Band Boosters)

● Band Base Layers - (to be purchased from Band Boosters, approx. $20, two sets optional but recommended for washing)

● Three pairs of over-the-calf black socks (Buyer preference)

● Water Jug (bought from band boosters)

● Sun Protection (sunscreen/hat/sunglasses)

● Blue Jeans (Plain, Traditional, non “washed” blue color highly encouraged,

no tears or holes)

● 5 or more White T-Shirts

● Pair of Athletic Shoes

● Drawstring Bag (For Locker Storage)

● Pencils

Chapstick ( I recommend this Chapstick )
Valve oil
- For trumpets and mellophones purchase this oil
- For tubas and baritones purchase this oil
- Trombones need a small 2 oz. spray bottle for water and this grease

Instrument lyre ( make sure it says its for your instrument and will attach to the horn)

Cork grease ( any will do)

Reeds
Cleaning Swab ( Silk or Micro fiber as cotton will expand and get stuck in the bore of the instrument which is expensive to fix)

It just needs to have grooves where the reed sits to dry the reed out (mold can grow if not)
